Late October 2006 found Lucy in Greensboro, NC! The Weatherspoon Art Museum and the Center for Creative Writing in the Arts at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro hosted two events on Thursday, October 26. At 4:00pm, Lucy spoke at the Faculty Center to UNC-G students about "Turning Trauma into Gold" and at 7:00pm, Lucy spoke at the Weatherspoon Art Museum about "Our Problems as the Roots of Our Power."

Lucy spoke at the NCSU School of Design on Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Her talk was entitled "Turning Trauma into Gold."
On Wednesday, January 19, 2006, Lucy presented at the Meetings of the American Psychoanalytic in New York. Her presentation was entitled "Writing Lives and Hearing Lives: A Comparison of Biographical and Psychoanalytic Processes: Self-Analysis and Autobiography with Lucy Daniels, Ph.D."

Lucy presented at the Crystal Coast First Annual Book Festival in Morehead City on November 4th and 5th (2005). She was a guest at the November 4th fundraising dinner at Finz Grill and on Saturday, November 5th, Lucy read from her new novel, The Eyes of the Father at Webb Memorial Library in downtown Morehead City at 12:30pm. The reading was followed by a book signing at the Old Train Depot within walking distance of the library.

Lucy's New York book launch party took place at The Lotos Club on September 29, 2005 and was hosted by Charles Bergman, Chairman of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. She read from both her new books, and was thrilled when the cover artist for The Eyes of the Father , Larry Poncho Brown, surprised her with his attendance.

August was indeed a busy month with book events at the beach...
Dee Gee's Gifts & Books hosted Lucy for a book signing on Thursday, August 4th (2005) from 6:00-8:00pm. The following day, Friday, August 5th, Lucy read from both her books at the Bogue Banks Public Library .
...and one at beautiful Fearrington Village in Pittsboro!
McIntyre's Fine Books & Bookends hosted Lucy for a book reading on Sunday, August 14th (2005).

Lucy was the main speaker at the 20th Anniversary Writer's Workshop dinner on Thursday, July 21st (2005) at the Governor's Western Residence. She followed that event with a reading from her novel, The Eyes of the Father at Malaprops on Friday, July 22nd, and on Saturday, July 23rd, Lucy signed copies of both her new books at Barnes & Noble on South Tunnel Road in Asheville.

Lucy was at Quail Ridge Books & Music on June 2, 2005 and had a full house. Her book launch is off to a great start!
Following her successful book launch at Quail Ridge Books, Lucy traveled to the Chapel Hill Museum on Thursday, June 23rd (2005) for a book reading from Dreaming Your Way to Creative Freedom , and to Branch's Chapel Hill Bookshop on Friday, June 24th for a reading from The Eyes of the Father.
